Marijuana is being smoked under her window for days: 'I feel sick from the unpleasant smell, and I ask for just this...'

A resident of Zagreb's Sloboština neighborhood has publicly appealed to her neighbors to be more considerate regarding the smoking of marijuana. The resident claims that for the past four days, an intense smell of marijuana has been noticeable on Karel Zahradnik Street, particularly near a local pharmacy, and is entering her apartment.

Please, if you smoke marijuana, do not do it directly under the windows of residential buildings and entrances to apartments.

She reported observing young people smoking in the area late at night on several occasions. The primary concern is that the smell is not confined to the street but permeates directly into her apartment, affecting her kitchen and bedroom. The resident stated that the strong odor is disturbing her young child, causing them to wake up and sleep poorly.

For four days, a very intense smell has been felt almost constantly on the street near the pharmacy on Karel Zahradnik. Several times I saw young people smoking there late at night.

Personally, she also experiences discomfort, feeling unwell and having a bitter taste in her mouth due to the pervasive smell. While not demanding that people stop smoking, she is requesting that they choose locations further away from apartment windows and entrances.

The smell enters directly into the apartment – it can be smelled in the kitchen and the bedroom. I have a small child who wakes up because of this strong smell, fidgets and sleeps poorly. I personally also feel unwell from such a strong smell and have an unpleasant, bitter taste in my mouth.

Her plea, shared in a local Facebook group, emphasizes the need for consideration towards residents, especially children, living in the surrounding buildings. The resident hopes her request will lead to a more pleasant living environment for everyone in the neighborhood.

I ask for a little consideration for the people living in the surrounding buildings, especially for small children. If you are going to smoke, please choose a place further away from windows and apartments.
