Markets and some retail outlets in Talas to close for two days

Talas's central market and a number of retail outlets will suspend operations on September 10 and 11, the city administration reported.

The two-day restrictions will affect clothing and building-material stores, auto-parts shops, tire-repair facilities and other retail businesses. The municipality said the closures are being introduced for sanitation work.

Cafes, other food-service establishments and grocery stores will remain open. City officials urged residents to buy any necessary goods in advance.

Talas is scheduled to host large-scale Independence Day celebrations on September 11, with the participation of global stars.
