Marsetič Moves to Czechia in Career Transfer, While Pogačar Joins Catanzaro

Enej Marsetič’s move to Slovan Liberec has become the biggest transfer in the history of Brinje Grosuplje. The 21-year-old winger joined the Slovenian first-division club from Bistrica this summer and will now continue his career in the Czech top flight.

Marsetič signed a five-year contract. Transfermarkt lists the fee at €300,000, a figure Brinje Grosuplje described as confirmation of its work identifying and developing promising young players.

He will join fellow Slovenians Venustus Baboulaj and Fallou Faye at Slovan Liberec. Both previously moved to the Czech Republic from Ljubljana club Bravo. Other Slovenian players in the Czech top flight include Danijel Šturm at Slavia Prague, and Klemen Mihelak and Matej Malenšek at Jablonec.

Another Slovenian player, 24-year-old Andrej Pogačar, has also secured the biggest transfer of his career. The former Radomlje player has joined Catanzaro in Italy’s second division.

Pogačar made 33 appearances in Slovenia’s Telemach First League last season, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
