Mārupe municipality to offer 50 euro Christmas benefit to vulnerable residents

The Mārupe municipality is set to implement an annual Christmas benefit payment, providing financial support to vulnerable residents. Amendments to the regulations on granting benefits to residents, adopted by the municipal council, establish a 50 euro payment to be disbursed once a year.

This benefit is designated for specific groups, including single pensioners without legal dependents, adults with disabilities since childhood (groups I or II), children from low-income and needy families, and politically repressed individuals. Eligibility requires continuous registration within the Mārupe municipality for at least one year.

Residents wishing to receive the Christmas benefit must submit an application to the Social Services department between November 1 and November 30. The municipality aims to provide this support during the holiday season to ease financial burdens for its most vulnerable citizens.
