Marvel's Future Begins After 'Avengers: Secret Wars' With X-Men Arrival, Kevin Feige Confirms

However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has now officially confirmed the X-Men's integration into the MCU. Speaking at BilibiliWorld in Shanghai, Feige announced that the studio's next major chapter will unfold after 'Avengers: Secret Wars'. "I can't wait for everyone to see 'Avengers: Doomsday'. After that will come 'Avengers: Secret Wars', and after that, the mutants and the X-Men," Feige stated, calling it a "dream I've had for many years."

This declaration not only signifies the X-Men's official arrival but also heralds the conclusion of the current multiverse storyline and the dawn of a new era for Marvel. Reports suggest a complete reboot of the mutant franchise is underway, with Jake Schreier, known for 'Thunderbolts', directing. The film is expected to feature an entirely new cast for iconic characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Wolverine.

Before the X-Men's debut, Marvel will release 'Avengers: Doomsday' in December 2026, followed by 'Avengers: Secret Wars'. Intriguingly, several actors from the original Fox X-Men saga, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Rebecca Romijn, are rumored to appear in 'Avengers: Doomsday'. Meanwhile, speculation persists about a potential appearance of Jean Grey in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', fueled by the mysterious role of Sadie Sink.
