Mason Greenwood scores first goal for Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe's new star signing, Mason Greenwood, made an immediate impact in his first start for the club, scoring a goal in their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round match against Sturm Graz.

The 24-year-old English forward, whose transfer had generated significant excitement among fans, had previously appeared as a substitute in matches against Gornik Zabrze. However, head coach İsmail Kartal opted to include Greenwood in the starting lineup for the crucial qualifier at home.

Fenerbahçe had already taken a 1-0 lead through Anderson Talisca. In the 45th minute, Greenwood showcased his skill by controlling a ball that had been cleared outside the penalty area following a corner kick. From the edge of the box, he struck a precise shot with his left foot, beating goalkeeper Khudyakov and doubling Fenerbahçe's advantage to 2-0.

This goal marked Greenwood's first for Fenerbahçe and came in his debut as a starter for the Turkish club, underscoring his immediate contribution to the team's campaign.
