Authorities in Quang Tri province have initiated legal proceedings, arresting 16 individuals involved in organizing and participating in the illegal activities. The network, identified as "Lương Sơn TV" and connected to the OK9 system, allegedly catered to tens of thousands of users. Investigators estimate the total monthly transaction volume for this gambling ring to be over 1.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately $60 million USD). The operation highlights the sophisticated methods used by criminal organizations to facilitate illegal gambling, leveraging popular online services like live sports streaming to attract users and mask their activities.
