Maudy Ayunda's From This Island Launches Tamanu Acne Series for Skin Regeneration

From This Island, a brand co-founded by Indonesian celebrity Maudy Ayunda, has introduced the Tamanu Acne Series, a new skincare line formulated with PolyAcNix™. This proprietary bioactive ingredient is derived from the Tamanu plant, a native Indonesian botanical long used in traditional skincare. The innovation behind PolyAcNix™ lies in its advanced extraction and purification process, which enhances its efficacy.

Developed through research collaborations with the School of Pharmacy at ITB and the EBM Scitech Research Center since 2023, PolyAcNix™ has demonstrated higher antibacterial activity than conventional Tamanu Oil in laboratory tests. Furthermore, it supports skin cell regeneration and exhibits strong anti-acne properties. The Tamanu Acne Series includes a Defense Serum and a Rapid Acne Spot Treatment, both subjected to rigorous laboratory testing.

The Tamanu Acne Defense Serum's clinical trials showed an 81% reduction in inflammatory acne after 14 days, alongside an 86.8% visible reduction in pore appearance. Independent user assessments revealed that 97% of subjects agreed the product helped control acne, 94% felt acne healed faster, and 88% reported less oily skin. The Rapid Acne Spot Treatment also demonstrated improvements in redness and excess oil, with 88% of users feeling their acne condition improved.
