Maurice Revello: Tunisia U23 Dominates China and Retakes Group A Lead

The Tunisian U23 national football team secured a commanding 3-0 victory over China's U20 side in their second group stage match of the Maurice Revello Tournament in France. This win propels the Tunisian squad, known as the "Aigles de Carthage" (Eagles of Carthage), to the top of Group A.

Zayon Chtaï-Telamio opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by Walid Dhouib in the 50th minute. Haythem Dhaou sealed the victory with a goal in second-half stoppage time, at the 90th+2 minute mark. This performance follows their earlier 3-0 win against DR Congo U20 and a subsequent 1-3 loss to Saudi Arabia U21.

Currently, Tunisia leads Group A with 6 points after three matches. Saudi Arabia U21 also has 6 points from three games, while China U20 has 6 points from four games. DR Congo U20 has 4 points from three games, and Colombia U19 has 1 point from three games. Tunisia is set to conclude their group stage campaign against Colombia on June 10.

The tournament serves as crucial preparation for the Tunisian team's upcoming continental and international commitments, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which are also pathways to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
