Maybank Syariah Wins Award for Islamic Finance Literacy and Inclusion

Maybank Syariah has been honored with the Excellence in Islamic Banking Literacy and Inclusion Award at the Anugerah Syariah Republika (ASR) 2026, held in Jakarta. This recognition celebrates the bank's dedicated efforts to broaden public understanding and accessibility of Islamic financial services.

The judging panel commended Maybank Syariah for treating Islamic financial literacy not merely as a corporate social responsibility program, but as an integral part of its business strategy. The bank employs an ecosystem-based approach to its educational initiatives, which has effectively driven an increase in the inclusion of Islamic finance.

A notable innovation highlighted by the award is the development of the Sharia Wealth Management concept. This approach combines public education with the provision of Sharia-compliant financial products and services, ensuring that individuals can not only understand but also actively utilize these offerings.
