Mazatlán cleans beaches, parks, and streets, collecting 8 cubic meters of waste

Mazatlán has completed its 41st "Mazatlán te quiero limpio" (Mazatlán I want you clean) initiative, collecting eight cubic meters of garbage and debris. The effort involved municipal officials, hotel employees, and volunteer environmentalists who gathered the equivalent of 160 trash bags from public areas and beaches. The cleanup aims to enhance the port city's appearance, particularly as it experiences a significant influx of tourists.

The Beach Administrator's office focused on the Olas Altas coastal strip, removing forty bags of waste to improve environmental conditions. Meanwhile, staff from the Public Services Directorate and the Water and Potable Water Board worked in the Villa Galaxia neighborhood, collecting 120 bags of refuse, including discarded furniture, leaves, and construction debris.

Beyond waste collection, volunteers also cleaned parks and repaired water leaks. User service modules were established to address and resolve resident complaints and demands promptly. This ongoing campaign seeks to maintain Mazatlán's appeal and environmental health.
