Mbeya Commissioner: Survey Land to End Southern Highlands Disputes

Mbeya Regional Commissioner Beno Malisa has called for experts in the Southern Highlands to find solutions to ongoing land disputes. Malisa stressed the importance of improving land management and surveying practices for citizens. He also urged residents of the region to actively participate in the Nanenane exhibition held in Mbeya city. The exhibition offers opportunities to learn about new technologies in agriculture, livestock, and fishing.

During the launch of the Southern Highlands farmers' exhibition on August 1, Malisa stated that a strong management system and accurate land surveying are key to overcoming land conflicts. He also advised on the proper use of fertilizers, environmental conservation, food security management, and the allocation of specific areas in all local government authorities. These areas are intended to empower youth through the 'Jenga Kesho iliyo Bora' (BBT) program, a model already being followed by the Chunya District Council.
