Mechanic Dies After Jeep Overturns on Necochea Beach

A passionate mechanic died tragically on a Necochea beach after the Jeep he was testing overturned. Santiago Duca, 35, was driving the vehicle, believed to belong to a client, when the accident happened on Saturday. Duca, known locally as an "adrenaline junkie" and "lover of all things mechanical," was testing the Jeep after making repairs.

The incident occurred in the Paso del Arroyo area, south of Necochea, near the local wind farm. Early reports suggest Duca was driving at over 120 kilometers per hour on a rocky section of the beach, leading to the vehicle's rollover. Despite immediate assistance from bystanders and a swift response from emergency services, Duca succumbed to his injuries at the Municipal Hospital Ferreyra.

Duca was a well-known figure in the local off-road community. His social media accounts were filled with videos of his adventures on sand dunes and beaches. Beyond his own repair shop, he also worked at a local gas station. Friends and family are mourning his loss, remembering his passion for Jeeps and his adventurous spirit.
