Meet 15 candidates vying for Osun governorship seat

As the Osun State governorship election approaches, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that 2,339,233 residents are registered to cast their ballots. The race involves 15 political parties, though the campaigns of only a few candidates have gained significant traction through manifestoes and state-wide tours.

Incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke is running for re-election under the Accord Party banner and is considered the frontrunner. His primary challenger is Bola Oyebamiji, representing the All Progressives Congress. Another notable candidate is Najeem Salaam, who is contesting on behalf of the African Democratic Congress.

Other candidates participating in the election represent a diverse range of parties, including the Action Alliance, African Action Congress, African Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, Allied People Movement, Action Peoples Party, Boot Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Peoples Redemption Party, Young Progressives Party, and Zenith Labour Party.
