MEGA NEWS 104.6 Launches as New Greek News Radio Station

Mega News 104.6 has gone on air, opening a new radio operation built around round-the-clock news coverage from Greece and the rest of the world.

The station began broadcasting at 6 a.m. and is backed by the large media group Alter Ego Media. Its programming is designed to combine immediate news updates with political and social commentary, analysis, interviews and direct communication with listeners.

MEGA’s general director of news and information, Stamatis Malelis, said the station would give citizens a voice. “It will be a big radio station, as its title says, which will give citizens the floor,” he said.

The schedule runs across all 24 hours and features a large team of journalists in front of and behind the microphones. Alongside current-affairs programs, the station will carry sports news, cultural content, useful information and selected music slots, presenting itself as a broad-based radio service.
