Mel C, of the Spice Girls, Marries Model Chris Dingwall

Melanie Chisholm, famously known as Mel C from the Spice Girls, has tied the knot with Australian model Chris Dingwall. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony on July 18, choosing the picturesque Country House Cumbria in northwest England as their venue.

Mel C and Dingwall reportedly met in 2023 through a dating app. Opting for a low-key celebration, the singer desired a small ceremony rather than a lavish affair. Sources close to the singer suggest the wedding incorporated subtle nods to her iconic pop career in the 1990s.

Several of Mel C's former bandmates from the Spice Girls were present to celebrate the occasion. Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Geri Halliwell-Horner were in attendance. Mel C's daughter, Scarlett, from her previous relationship with Thomas Starr, served as a bridesmaid.

The bride wore a striking white, backless dress designed by fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. "It was a gift from Victoria, they are very close," a source told the Mail on Sunday. Beckham herself could not attend due to prior commitments in the United States related to the World Cup but reportedly expressed regret at missing her friend's special day.

The ceremony proceeded smoothly, with the only unexpected interruption being a herd of cows wandering near the altar as the couple exchanged their vows. This union comes as Mel C prepares for a world tour under her stage name, scheduled to begin in September in Montreal, Canada.
