Members Practice 'Magic' for New Fantasy Children's Concert

The highly anticipated "Bean Pod Baby Children's Concert" is set to embark on a statewide tour of Taiwan from August 1 to October 18, presenting a brand-new production titled "Whizz Whizz~ Magical Percussion Show." This year's performance promises an enchanting journey into the world of percussion, enhanced by the surprising live magic skills of the troupe members.

Developed by long-time collaborator Lü Ji-kuan, the show distinguishes itself by incorporating a captivating magic performance before the main curtain rises. "Magic Percussion Troupe" leader OK and magician Black Jack will engage young audiences with an entertaining magic show. Notably, the beloved characters DoDo, ReRe, and MiMi will initially appear as audience members, watching from below.

As the exciting percussion performances unfold, the three Bean Pod Babies begin learning magic techniques and join the show. However, the "Magic Percussion Troupe" faces a crisis: their rehearsal space is being renovated, threatening their disbandment, and Black Jack suddenly collapses. The audience is called upon to use their "magic rhythms" to defeat dark magic and help the troupe recover.

This production is led by Kao Han-yen, a member of the Ju Percussion Group and assistant artistic director for Ju Percussion Group 2. The show features the "Bean Pod Baby Children's Concert's" popular original sing-alongs, designed to help everyone defeat the dark magic. It also blends multiple melodious ensemble pieces, creating an adventurous experience filled with magical illusions and astonishing music. The tour will cover eight cities, including Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, with 25 performances scheduled.
