Memories Healthcare Files European Patent for Alzheimer’s Candidate MH001

Memories Healthcare has applied for a European patent covering MH001, an herbal-extract candidate the South Korean company is developing for Alzheimer’s disease.

The application, numbered EP26192980.6, is titled “Herbal Extract Composition for Preventing or Treating Alzheimer Disease.” The company said it is pursuing intellectual-property protection in overseas markets after filings in South Korea and the United States.

Memories Healthcare also plans to build evidence around the candidate’s compound ingredients, cognitive-function assessments and imaging data. It recently established a subsidiary, Memories Clinic, to support clinical research and long-term patient monitoring. The subsidiary will create a patient registry to record clinical progress and provide research information through a dedicated channel.

The company stressed that a patent application is only a request to secure technology rights. It does not mean the patent has been finally registered, that the candidate’s medical effectiveness or safety has been confirmed, or that the drug has received marketing approval.
