Men's 3x3 Basketball National Team to Compete in Prime League Round 5 Ahead of Asian Games

The South Korean men's 3x3 basketball national team is gearing up for the upcoming 2026 Prime League Round 5, a crucial event in their preparation for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The team, composed of players Lee Ju-young and Kim Seung-woo from Yonsei University, Lee Dong-geun from Korea University, and Gu Min-kyo from Sungkyunkwan University, is aiming to fine-tune their game.

This tournament follows a recent success for the team, which secured overall victory at the Nations League held in Changzhou, China, from June 10-16. This win has built momentum as they head into the Prime League competition.

3x3 basketball is a fast-paced sport played by three players on a half-court, with the first team to score 21 points or the team with the higher score after 10 minutes winning. The sport demands significant stamina, quick decision-making, and strong individual skills.

The 5th round of the Prime League will adopt a different format than previous rounds. Six teams will be divided into two groups of three for preliminary matches. The top teams from each group will then advance to a 6-team knockout tournament to determine the champion.

All matches of the 2026 Prime League Round 5 will be broadcast live on the Korea Basketball Association's official YouTube channel (KBA Live) and its Naver Chiizik channel.
