SBS's 'Kick a Goal' Expands to Handball with Special 'Handball Cup' Series

SBS's popular variety show 'Kick a Goal,' known for its focus on women's football, is broadening its athletic horizons by venturing into the sport of handball.

A special four-part series, dubbed the 'Kick a Goal Handball Cup,' is set to air, beginning September 2. The program aims to rally support for the South Korean national handball teams as they prepare for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

The series will feature a star-studded lineup, bringing together handball legends and 'Kick a Goal' cast members. Yoon Kyung-shin, a renowned handball star and current coach for Doosan, and Lee Sang-eun, who was the inspiration for the movie 'Our Lifetime Best Moment,' will serve as coaches. They will be joined by other prominent handball figures such as Park Ha-yeon, Bae Min-hee, Kim On-ah, and Shim Jae-bok, who will compete in the matches.

This initiative follows a similar successful event, the first 'Kick a Goal Sports Day,' held in June. During that event, female handball legends, including Kim On-ah and Bae Min-hee, showcased their skills in handball matches against the 'Kick a Goal' players, demonstrating their passing and shooting abilities.
