MEP criticizes PSD over salary law, warns of lost EU funds

European Parliament member Siegfried Mureșan has urged the Social Democratic Party (PSD) to cease "electoral games" surrounding the salary law and engage in negotiations for its adoption. Romania faces the risk of losing 770 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) if the crucial milestone related to the salary law is not met by the August 31 deadline.

He accused the party of attempting to gain political advantage from the ongoing negotiations.
