MEP Eugen Tomac Becomes Godfather to Mayor's Third Child in Sulița

European Parliament member Eugen Tomac has taken on a new role, becoming the godfather to the third child of George Popescu, the mayor of Sulița commune in Botoșani county, Romania.

The christening ceremony for the child, named Alexandru, was held at the "Saint Nicholas" Church in Sulița. The event was a private affair, attended by a select group of family and close friends.

Tomac, who previously served as a designated prime minister and leads the People's Movement Party (PMP) nationally, has a political connection to Mayor Popescu, who ran for his second term in 2020 under the PMP banner. However, their relationship has now extended beyond politics, with Tomac embracing this personal role.

Expressing his emotions publicly, Eugen Tomac shared his gratitude and joy for becoming a godfather. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for Alexandru's future, hoping the child grows up healthy, kind, courageous, and wise, experiencing a serene life full of happiness and fulfillment, surrounded by loving and inspiring people.
