Meteorological service forecasts falling temperatures and warns of storms

Temperatures in Paraguay are expected to drop on Saturday and Sunday, bringing cool to cold conditions that could continue through part of next week. The meteorological service has also issued an alert for rain and storms.

Saturday began cool, with a temperature of 16°C, humidity of 65% and southerly winds at 15 km/h. Maximum temperatures are forecast to range from 19°C to 25°C in the Eastern Region and from 17°C to 31°C in the Western Region.

The sky is expected to remain mostly cloudy, with scattered rain during the early hours. Conditions should improve later, according to forecaster Ana Pereira. An alert issued at 5:28 a.m. covers northern Alto Paraná and Canindeyú, where storm cells could produce severe weather.

Sunday will be colder, beginning with a minimum of 10°C and reaching about 18°C in the afternoon. Monday’s minimum is expected to fall to 7°C, while the afternoon high could reach 20°C. Tuesday will start at 11°C, with temperatures later rising to 27°C.
