Meteorology Announces August 6, 2026 Weather Report: How Will the Weather Be Today?

Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) predicts a mixed weather pattern for August 6, 2026. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the country's northern areas and parts of the Mediterranean region, particularly along the Toroslar coast and in the eastern Black Sea region.

Areas like Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan, along with the northern coasts of Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Kocaeli, are likely to experience rainfall. Most other regions are forecast to have clear skies with minimal cloud cover.

Temperatures are expected to remain significantly above seasonal averages nationwide. However, wind conditions will vary, with generally northerly winds prevailing. Stronger gusts, ranging from 40 to 60 km/h, are anticipated in southwestern Marmara and northern Aegean areas, blowing from the north and northeast.

Specific forecasts for major cities indicate highs in Istanbul (32°C), Ankara (31°C), Izmir (36°C), and Antalya (33°C). Some areas, like Aydın and Denizli, are expected to reach 40-41°C. The MGM continues to monitor weather patterns across all regions of Turkey.
