Mexican actor Pablo Lyle's prison release date moved up to December 2026

Mexican actor Pablo Lyle will be released from a Florida prison on December 29, 2026, his sentence for involuntary manslaughter having been reduced. Originally slated for release in September 2027, a sentence reduction has moved his freedom date up by nearly a year.

Lyle has been incarcerated in Florida since his conviction in the 2019 death of Juan Ricardo Hernández. The incident occurred after a traffic dispute in Miami when Lyle struck Hernández during an altercation. Hernández later died from his injuries.

The actor was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter on October 4, 2022. A month later, he received a 13-year sentence, with five years of imprisonment and the remainder as probation and other conditions. Lyle's time in prison has been marked by personal challenges, including his divorce from Ana Araujo and the recent passing of his father.

Despite his incarceration, Lyle has potential work lined up in Mexico. Producer Juan Osorio has publicly stated his willingness to collaborate with Lyle on telenovela projects. Lyle may also seek deportation to Mexico, a process that could begin before his sentence concludes.
