Mexican athletes are set to receive financial rewards for each medal earned at the recent Central American and Caribbean Games, a move that celebrates the nation's record-breaking performance. The delegation secured an unprecedented 407 medals, a testament to years of dedication and rigorous training.

Rommel Pacheco, the director of Mexico's National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE), announced that every single medal will be financially recognized. This announcement was made in the presence of President Claudia Sheinbaum. Swimmer Celia Pulido, a standout athlete who clinched 11 medals, was highlighted as a prime example of the athletes who will benefit from this initiative.

For athletes like Pulido, this news signifies more than just monetary gain.
