Mexico City Braces for Traffic Chaos Amid Multiple Protests

Mexico City residents face significant traffic disruptions on Monday due to a planned march and at least four other gatherings across the capital. Authorities anticipate mobility issues, particularly in the Historic Center, Doctores neighborhood, and the Benito Juárez borough.

The main march, organized by Maquineros Unidos, begins at 10:00 AM from the Monumento a la Revolución, heading to the National Palace. Participants demand an end to operations against establishments with video game machines, the return of seized slot machines, and recognition of their right to work.

Simultaneously, the Colectiva Las Tonantzin will gather at the Attorney General's Office in Doctores, seeking justice for a minor allegedly subjected to physical abuse by a nurse at Juárez Hospital. Later, at 11:00 AM, the Mexican Marketing Workers' Group will protest in the Zócalo, denouncing discrimination, mistreatment, and insecurity in their jobs.

Also at 11:00 AM, Mexico City government workers will convene at the Caja de Previsión for List-of-Raya Workers in the Álamos neighborhood, Benito Juárez borough, to request a union digit for official identification within the Government Workers' Union. Finally, at 4:00 PM, members of the National Indigenous Congress and Indigenous Government Council will demonstrate outside the Ministry of the Interior, demanding the release of Jesús Plácido Galindo, a leader of CIPOG-EZ, arrested on July 17 in Guerrero.
