Mexico City Mayor Backs Sheinbaum's Leadership After King's Visit, Says 'Your People Are With You'

Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada publicly endorsed President Claudia Sheinbaum's leadership and commitment to national sovereignty. Speaking from the Magdalena Contreras borough, Brugada declared, "President, you are not alone, your people are here." She emphasized that millions of Mexicans stand with Sheinbaum in defending the nation's sovereignty, justice, and dignity.

Brugada made these remarks following a visit by the King of Spain. She highlighted Sheinbaum's firm stance on national sovereignty, framing it as a key aspect of her leadership. The mayor's statements suggest a strong alignment between the city government and the national administration, reinforcing support for Sheinbaum's agenda.

The mayor also inaugurated the Utopía Cen Tlalli Ocotepec in the Ampliación Lomas de San Bernabé neighborhood. This new facility is designed to serve over 72,000 residents in Magdalena Contreras. Brugada described it as the first Utopía of its kind in western Mexico City, spanning over 30,000 square meters. She positioned the Utopía project as integral to the "second floor of transformation" under President Sheinbaum's administration.
