Mexico City prosecutors continue investigation into body found in GAM; victim remains unidentified

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJ) confirmed that its investigation into a body discovered in the Gertrudis Sánchez neighborhood, within the Gustavo A. Madero borough, is ongoing. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established, as forensic analyses are still in progress.

Authorities are actively pursuing the motive behind the discovery, with investigations continuing to gather information. Personnel from the Forensic Services and the Investigative Police (PDI) have been meticulously processing the scene to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event, according to the FGJ.

On Tuesday, FGJ personnel entered a residence located at number 5208 on Norte 88 street, in the second section of the Gertrudis Sánchez neighborhood. This action was executed under a search warrant related to a disappearance case involving a private individual. Inside the property, investigators located the body of an unidentified person.

Preliminary reports indicate that the residence was found in a state of disarray, with various objects scattered throughout. The search warrant specifically aimed to locate a missing 83-year-old woman, as well as to secure any relevant documents, identification, or cellular phones.
