Mexico to host 2026 World Archery Cup Final in Saltillo

Saltillo, Mexico, is set to become the epicenter of the global archery world as it prepares to host the 2026 World Archery Cup Final. This prestigious event marks the culmination of an intense international season, bringing together the planet's elite archers.

With a delegation of seven archers, Mexico aims to capitalize on the home-field advantage. Both recurve and compound disciplines will see national athletes striving for victory on September 12 and 13. The competition will feature only the top 32 athletes worldwide, competing at the city's historic center.

Olympic medalist Ana Paula Vázquez expressed her gratitude for Mexico hosting the event, highlighting the importance of family and home crowd support. "We will have the opportunity for family members who have never seen us compete to be there," she stated. "We will look to the stands and see faces of people who represent a lot to us."

Rommel Pacheco, the general director of Mexico's National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Conade), emphasized World Archery's continued trust in Mexico's organizational capabilities. He noted that the country's consistent hosting of major international events demonstrates its capacity to organize and stage competitions of the highest caliber, solidifying its status as a key venue on the World Cup circuit.

The Mexican team competing includes Ana Paula Vázquez, Andrea Maya Becerra, Matías Grande, Dafne Quintero, Alejandra Valencia, Sebastián García, and Rodrigo González, all vying for glory on home soil.
