Michoacán boasts significant accessibility, with 18 national and international air connections facilitated by the Francisco J. Múgica Airport in Morelia. This, combined with an extensive highway network, ensures that travelers can reach the state with ease. The airport serves as a vital hub, connecting Michoacán directly to major U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas, as well as domestic destinations such as Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta, and Mexico City.

The Morelia Airport consolidates itself as a key piece in boosting tourism and economic development in Michoacán.

From January to June of the current year, over 772,000 passengers have arrived in Michoacán via air travel, indicating a strong start to the year for tourism. The governor highlighted the state's 10 Pueblos Mágicos, designated towns celebrated for their history, architecture, and traditional cuisine, which is recognized globally. These towns offer visitors a glimpse into Mexico's rich cultural tapestry.
