Mick Potter Appointed New Head Coach of Fiji Bati Rugby League Team

Mick Potter has officially been appointed as the new head coach of the Fiji Bati, a move that significantly bolsters the team's preparations for a busy international schedule. Potter, who previously coached Catalans Dragons, St Helens, Bradford Bulls, and Wests Tigers, has formally accepted the position.

Rajesh Singh, the Executive Chair of the Fiji National Rugby League, confirmed the appointment. He outlined the pathway to upcoming campaigns, including the "Battle of the Bati" and preparations for the Rugby League World Cup for both the Fiji Bati and Fiji Bulikula teams. Singh stated that all coaching staff remain in place and that the finalization of Potter's contract and work permit is underway.

Potter's return to coaching the Bati is expected to inject valuable experience and structure into the team. This will be crucial as Fiji sharpens its focus on the "Battle of the Bati" before turning its attention to the global stage of the World Cup.
