Military jeep in Han Kuang drill dragged by truck after yielding to pedestrians

A military jeep involved in Taiwan's ongoing Han Kuang exercise was unexpectedly involved in a traffic accident in Tamsui, New Taipei City. The incident occurred when the military vehicle, driven by Private Lu, and a container truck, driven by Chen, stopped to allow pedestrians to cross the road. After the pedestrians cleared the intersection, Chen's truck began to turn left. Due to the inner wheel difference common in large trucks, the truck's anti-climbing device inadvertently snagged the front bumper of the military jeep. The jeep was then dragged approximately 3 meters, ultimately colliding with a pedestrian island. The unexpected event startled the military personnel in the jeep and the truck driver. Fortunately, the accident resulted in only minor damage to the military vehicle and no injuries. Police confirmed that both drivers had a blood alcohol content of zero and were not under the influence of drugs. The exact cause of the collision and liability are still under investigation.
