Military Operation Neutralizes Los Lobos Cell in Quito's Historic Center

Ecuadorian military forces have executed a targeted operation in the San Sebastián Uno neighborhood of Quito's historic center, leading to the capture of two individuals suspected of belonging to the Los Lobos criminal organization. The intervention was based on intelligence gathered by the military and carried out in collaboration with other institutions.

During the operation, military personnel apprehended two foreign nationals. The first is identified as Gruezo L., a Colombian citizen operating under the alias 'La Jefa.' The second is Contreras J., a Venezuelan national known by the alias 'La Brondon.' Both are believed to have been active in the central district of Ecuador's capital.

A significant quantity of illicit substances intended for micro-trafficking was seized during the search of the property and suspects. The confiscated evidence includes 249 doses of cocaine base and 71 doses of marijuana. Additionally, a cell phone, a digital scale, two homemade pipes, packaging material, and cash were recovered.

The arrested individuals and all seized materials have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities to commence legal proceedings. The operation represents a blow to the Los Lobos group's activities within Quito.
