Military Police Investigate Stray Bullet at Padang State University

Military police are actively investigating a stray bullet incident that injured two individuals on the campus of Padang State University. The Military Police Command (Pomdam) XX/Tuanku Imam Bonjol has interviewed ten witnesses as part of their inquiry. However, authorities have not yet pinpointed the exact source of the bullet that struck the victims. Investigators have successfully retrieved one projectile from a victim's body and are continuing their search for any additional bullets, given that two people were injured. "We are still conducting an investigation related to this incident. We have recorded and taken statements from about 10 people," stated Kapendam XX Tuanku Imam Bonjol, Colonel Kav Taufiq. He added that witness interviews began shortly after the incident on Tuesday and continued into Wednesday. Taufiq acknowledged that many questions remain unanswered in the case, particularly regarding the suspected origin of the weapon. He appealed for patience from the media, requesting time to conduct a thorough investigation, especially as shooting practice exercises were reportedly occurring simultaneously. "We are still looking for other projectiles, because there were two victims in this stray bullet incident? That's what we're trying to find. We continue to gather facts on the ground," he said.
