Minibus Overturns En Route to Wedding in Turkey, Killing 7 and Injuring 9

A tragic accident in Turkey's Diyarbakır province claimed seven lives and left nine others injured when a minibus carrying passengers to a wedding ceremony overturned. The vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a ravine near the Karahasan neighborhood in the Lice district. Emergency services, including health, fire, and gendarmerie teams, were dispatched to the scene. Seven individuals were confirmed dead, with two of the nine injured reported to be in serious condition. The injured were transported to hospitals in Diyarbakır for treatment. Governor Murat Zorluoğlu visited the injured, stating that initial reports suggest a tire blowout caused the minibus to roll. He extended condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery to the injured. A judicial investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. In a somber development, five siblings and two nephews who perished in the accident were laid to rest side-by-side.
