Minister Arrives for Launch of Key Development Projects in Tapila

Minister for Livestock, Agena Gamai, arrived at Tapila Station ahead of the official launch of three significant development projects. The initiatives are designed to enhance governance, healthcare, and community services within the region.

Gamai was warmly welcomed by the residents of Tapila and is scheduled to preside over the launch ceremony. He expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown by the community. The Minister was accompanied by Local Level Government (LLG) Presidents and delegates from Balimo, who traveled via the recently completed Balimo-Wasua Road before reaching Tapila Station by dinghy.

The upcoming program includes the commissioning of the new Fly Gogodala LLG Chamber, which will serve as the central hub for local government operations and public service delivery. Additionally, the Minister will inaugurate a new ECPNG Church building, providing a dedicated place of worship for the Tapila community. A new dinghy will also be handed over to the Tapila Health Centre to improve the transportation of health workers, patients, and essential medical supplies.

Community leaders have hailed the projects as crucial investments that will significantly improve access to essential government, health, and religious services. They emphasized the importance of leadership reaching the people directly, stating, “The people deserve to be informed, involved and served. Leadership must reach the people where they are.” The official launch ceremony is slated to commence tomorrow morning at Tapila Station.
