Minister's Hands-On Approach Key to Speedy Abuja Road Delivery: CCECC

The swift, six-month completion of the Collector Road C01 and its bridge in Abuja stands as a testament to the Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike's direct involvement, according to Shao ZongHe, Executive Director of CCECC Nigeria Limited. Shao highlighted that Wike's "hands-on supervision and insistence on results" were key to the project's rapid delivery, a stark contrast to conventional public works.

Wike's approach involved regular monthly inspections, personal progress reviews, and immediate resolution of challenges, creating an environment conducive to timely execution. "The minister did not simply issue directives from his office. He came to the site, inspected the work firsthand, resolved challenges and demanded results," Shao stated, emphasizing that such committed leadership enabled the project's completion within the ambitious six-month timeframe.

The road, linking the Body of Benchers to Nile University, is expected to significantly enhance mobility for institutions and communities, fostering greater economic activity in the district. CCECC views the project as a tangible manifestation of President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda, translating infrastructure investment into visible improvements for citizens. Further development is planned with an extension to connect Ring Road III, promising to unlock additional opportunities.

Speaking as an "ordinary resident of Abuja," Shao also commended the collaborative efforts between the Federal Capital Development Authority and CCECC, ensuring the project's on-schedule delivery. He praised Wike not only for initiating but also for ensuring the completion and public use of infrastructure, benefiting residents who often see projects remain unfinished. Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Tinubu, lauded the transformation of Abuja as a model for national development, underscoring infrastructure's role in economic growth and investment.
