Minister Sulaiman has urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation, emphasizing that no stone should be left unturned. He made it unequivocally clear that any civil servant found to be complicit in this fraudulent activity would face immediate dismissal. The modus operandi described involves the perpetrator, identified as a private individual with the initial H, claiming to possess a strong network within the agricultural sector, thus assuring the 'investor' (initial R) of their ability to secure government projects. This is not the first such incident; the minister revealed that similar cases, involving demands ranging from Rp150 million to Rp350 million, have occurred previously, leading to dismissals. A larger case, amounting to Rp27 billion, also followed a similar pattern.
