Ministry of Labor: Over 7,000 Kyrgyz citizens employed since year's start

Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration announced that over 7,100 citizens have found employment through the country's employment services since the beginning of the year. As of July 1, a total of 77,551 citizens had approached these services for assistance.

Of those who sought help, more than 52,800 individuals received consultations covering labor laws, employment opportunities, and professional training options. A key focus of the employment services is facilitating job placement. During the reporting period, 7,106 unemployed citizens were successfully placed in jobs, including 4,87 women and 3,744 young people.

Beyond direct placement, the ministry is implementing active labor market measures. Professional orientation centers are operational in several cities, including Bishkek, Osh, and Karakol, as well as in the Sokuluk district. These centers provide career guidance to students and the unemployed, helping them choose professions based on their interests and market demand. As of July 1, 39,663 citizens received career consultations, comprising 17,303 unemployed individuals and 22,360 students.

Professional training is another priority, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of unemployed citizens by equipping them with in-demand skills. By July 1, 3,451 unemployed individuals had been enrolled in training programs for professions such as computer operator, sales agent, cook, cosmetologist, and driver. Additionally, the employment services facilitate temporary work. As of July 1, 9,669 unemployed citizens were directed to paid public works programs, marking a 69 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
