Minority Caucus Appoints Afam Ogene as Spokesperson

The Minority Caucus in Nigeria's House of Representatives has appointed Afam Ogene, the lawmaker for Ogbaru Federal Constituency in Anambra State, as its new spokesperson. The decision, approved during a virtual caucus meeting on Friday, June 19, was announced on Saturday by Minority Leader Fredrick Agbedi.

Agbedi stated that the appointment reflects the caucus's confidence in Ogene's ability to effectively communicate its positions on national matters and enhance public engagement. Ogene, who also leads the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDP) Caucus, brings extensive legislative experience and a background as an award-winning journalist and editor to the role.
