Minors detained for stoning passenger train in Kyrgyzstan

An act of vandalism occurred on July 27 when unknown individuals threw stones at a passenger train traveling between Balykchy and Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan's Chuy region. The attack resulted in damage to the windows of multiple train cars.

The incident took place near the village of Novopokrovka. Upon receiving the report, an investigative team was dispatched to the scene to gather evidence and identify those responsible.

Following an investigation and search operations, three individuals believed to be involved have been apprehended. Authorities identified them as residents of Novopokrovka, born in 2007, 2011, and 2009. The detained minors have reportedly confessed to throwing stones at the train cars.

Law enforcement is currently conducting further investigations into the matter. The legal consequences for the individuals will be determined in accordance with Kyrgyz law based on the findings of the probe.
