Minors Rob Man at Knifepoint in Nikaia; One Arrested

A 40-year-old man experienced "absolute terror" in Nikaia, Greece, when two minors robbed him at knifepoint while he waited at a bus stop. The man recounted the dramatic moments to MEGA, describing how the assailants approached him suddenly and demanded his bag.

"I was at the bus stop, waiting for the first trolley to go to work, and these two people came with knives and asked for my bag. I tried for a few seconds to avoid it, then one of them brought the knife closer, and I gave it to them, and they left," he said. The stolen backpack contained a significant amount of cash and personal belongings.

Following the robbery, the victim reported the incident to the police, providing a detailed description of the suspects. Authorities quickly located one of the perpetrators, a 17-year-old, who was found in possession of a small quantity of drugs. A subsequent home search also uncovered a collapsible metal baton and a metal crusher.

The incident is part of a recent rise in thefts and attacks in Nikaia, sparking worry among residents. Police have identified the second minor involved and are expected to arrest him soon.
