MIRÁ Asu Platform to Unite Art, Design, and Heritage in Asunción This November

Asunción is set to host MIRÁ Asu, a new international platform dedicated to creative industries, from November 10-22. The event will take place at the Casa Ardissone in the city's Historic Center, aiming to invigorate the area through a diverse program. MIRÁ Asu, which originated in Bolivia, seeks to expand internationally in Paraguay after consolidating five successful editions in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

The platform's mission is to contribute to the revitalization of Asunción's Historic Center by integrating art, design, architecture, fashion, and gastronomy. The Casa Ardissone will transform into a thirteen-day hub for contemporary art exhibitions, designer showcases, architectural interventions, fashion displays, culinary experiences, and public dialogues. The initiative also aims to strengthen creative industries and promote the architectural heritage of the cities it visits.

This edition in Paraguay will feature a tribute to Paraguayan artist Félix Toranzos and the launch of the MIRÁ Contemporary Art Contest, designed to discover emerging talent. The program includes a Paraguayan Furniture and Design Salon, heritage space interventions by architects and designers, fashion exhibitions, and talks with industry leaders. The event is designed to encourage visitors to experience the heritage building as a social meeting point, with integrated cafes and gastronomic spaces.

Óscar Costa will serve as the general director, with Adriana Almada overseeing the general curation. The official presentation of MIRÁ Asu 2026 took place at Casa Ardissone, drawing artists, gallery owners, architects, designers, and cultural sector representatives. The event promises a unique convergence of disciplines, demonstrating how various creative fields can coexist and activate a historic urban space.
