Miss World 2026 Green Carpet Heats Up Nha Trang

The green carpet at April 2 Square in Nha Trang grew busy on September 5 as artists, beauty queens and male pageant winners arrived ahead of the Miss World 2026 final.

The city’s atmosphere intensified before the evening final, the 73rd in Miss World history. After more than a month of competitions and activities in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Khanh Hoa, all 111 contestants completed their final appearances before the decisive night.

Residents and tourists began arriving early to watch the event. Authorities blocked and redirected traffic on surrounding roads, while several hotel basements along Tran Phu Street were used for parking. By 7 p.m., the fan zone and grandstands were nearly full. The seaside venue also brought relatively cool conditions to the audience area.

Vietnamese representative Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc drew particular attention from pageant fans after a strong run in the preliminary events. She won the Top Model title for Asia and Oceania, earning a place in the top 40. She also reached the top 20 in the Head to Head Challenge, the top 23 in Talent and the top 24 in Beauty With a Purpose. Her team won the Head Chef Beauty challenge.

Bao Ngoc appeared in a national cultural costume titled "Lưng trời vương nắng," created by designers Bui The Bao and Nguyen Nguyen Bao. Miss World was first held in 1951, and the 2026 edition marked the contest’s 75th anniversary while being its 73rd staging. The pageant promotes the message of beauty for a greater purpose, with winners typically taking part in charitable and humanitarian activities.

Vietnam has previously recorded several notable Miss World results. Tran Ngoc Lan Khue reached the top 11, Luong Thuy Linh the top 12, Do Thi Ha the top 13, and Do My Linh the top 40 while winning the Beauty With a Purpose award.
