Missing artworks by Finnish comic artist Taneli Kemppi found after postal mishap

Good news for Finnish comic art enthusiasts: the original artworks by Tampere-based artist Taneli Kemppi, which had mysteriously disappeared in the mail, have been located. The discovery brings relief after a period of uncertainty surrounding the fate of the valuable pieces.

The artworks, comprising 20 hand-drawn pages from Kemppi's debut work "Kerrosten välissä" (Between the Layers), were dispatched in July for an exhibition at Kulttuuritalo Valve in Oulu. The book itself was a nominee for the prestigious Sarjakuva-Finlandia award, highlighting the significance of the missing originals.

Following the disappearance of the first package, Kemppi sent a second shipment through the transport service Matkahuolto. While this second delivery also faced delays, it was eventually received. The initial package, sent via Posti, was reported to have arrived in Oulu on Tuesday, August 11.
