Missing Seoul woman found dead in freezer storage unit at Paju cafe

A woman in her 60s who had been reported missing in Seoul was found dead inside a refrigerated container at a cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi province.

Police discovered her body at about 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 4 after tracking her mobile phone location. The missing-person report had been filed in Seoul earlier that day.

Police identified the cafe operator as a suspect and arrested him in Seoul the same day. Investigators believe he confined the woman in the storage unit and are examining the circumstances of her death.
