Missing Teenager Found Safe in Caaguazú

A 15-year-old girl, María Isabel Jiménez Rodríguez, who had been reported missing since May 21, has been located by police in Caaguazú, Paraguay. She was found near the Caaguazú bus terminal in the company of a young man.

The disappearance had caused significant concern for her family and the authorities involved in the search. The Public Ministry and the National Police had initiated a search for the teenager after she failed to return following a sports activity in Tacuatí.

According to the prosecutor, Gloria Marlene Florentín, the girl is in good health and has been returned to her parents in Tacuatí. The prosecutor expressed satisfaction with the safe recovery of the adolescent.

However, the investigation is ongoing. The young man found with María Isabel may be charged as a suspect in her disappearance, given they were together in a public place. The prosecutor emphasized that while finding the girl safe is the priority, the case is serious and involved a significant mobilization of resources.

Fortunately, we were able to locate the adolescent safe and sound, which is the most important thing right now; however, the investigation will not end here, considering that this is a quite serious matter that mobilized an entire structure.
