Mitsuoka Teases New Retro Sports Car, Hints at Mazda MX-5 Base and C1 Corvette Styling

Mitsuoka Motor, known for transforming Japanese cars into retro-style classics, has announced a new model set for release in November. The company recently shared a second teaser image, offering more details about the upcoming vehicle.

The new car will feature a two-seater convertible design, a round headlight cluster, and a large grille. Its sleek body lines and tapering rear give it a dynamic appearance. The latest teaser reveals a distinctive red and white paint job and fender design that evokes the classic 1958 C1 Corvette.

Given Mitsuoka's history of basing its retro models on existing Japanese cars, speculation suggests this new model might be a modified Mazda MX-5. This follows their 2018 release, the Rock Star, which was also built on the MX-5 platform.

Mitsuoka is keeping details under wraps but plans to release more images in the coming months before the official November launch.
