MLB: 'Black Trout' Buxton on IL Again with Hip Injury

Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton has landed on the 10-day injured list for the second time in July, this time due to recurring hip issues. The star player, known as "The Big Playmaker," experienced pain in his right hip during a recent game against the Kansas City Royals and was removed from play.

This latest setback marks the second time this month Buxton has dealt with hip problems. He previously missed time after suffering a right hip flexor strain, an injury that also kept him out of the recent MLB All-Star Game. The team announced the move, citing a right hip impingement.

Twins manager Derek Shelton acknowledged after Buxton's early exit from the Royals game that the hip injury appeared to be the cause. Shelton noted that Buxton himself felt discomfort as early as his second at-bat during the game.
